Photo Documentation Color Scale
Each time a roll of film is taken at a crime scene or during a forensic exam, the first exposure should be of this photo card documenting the photographer, case number, date, and time. They can be placed next to a person or object to provide scale. Submit the card with the roll of film to the lab so the darkroom technician can match the colors to produce a color-accurate photograph. The photograper can also testify in court with the card to demonstrate that the colors represented in the photograph are true and accurate.

Book - Cry Rape

Cry Rape dramatically exposes the criminal justice system’s capacity for error as it recounts one woman’s courageous battle in the face of adversity.

Other books have dealt with how police and prosecutors bend and break the law in their zeal to prevail. This one focuses instead on how the gravest injustice can be committed with the best of intentions, and how one woman’s bravery and persistence finally triumphed.

Book - Black Eye
In 1986, Judith Strasser ended an abusive seventeen-year-marriage. The end came, she tells us in the first sentence of her memoir, when her husband slugged her in the eye. His punch was the exclamation point that concluded the sentence of Strasser's marriage, a time measured by arguments, emotional abuse, depression, alcoholism, cold silences, and abandonments. It also opened a new period in her life, for her husband's blow freed Strasser to become the confident, creative woman who is able to write this difficult, often painful memoir. (hardback)
